Breaking the Media Blackout
Lights, Camera, Comrades is an initiative to bring light to marginalized communities experiencing a media blackout. Brought to you by TransTech Social Enterprises in collaboration with Pop'N - People Over Profit Now, and The Left Current.
Our objective is to physically deliver media production equipment and skills based trainings to communities in areas that are experiencing a media blackout, with a priority on Black and brown, queer and trans communities.
Participants in our programs will have an option to have their content amplified on our partner platforms including The Left Current, POLISH media and more!

Our First Mission:
September 25th to October 2nd
We cannot publicly disclose the location of our mission due to it being a country that’s had a 60-year blockade and is desperately in need of aid. We will be bringing with us toiletries, some basic health and hygiene supplies for the community at large and the following list of equipment specifically for the local university to have on inventory for their students to use for their work:
- Professional Video Cameras (Canon or Nikon)
- Wireless Microphones
- Hand and Stand holders for cameras and phones
- LED lights
- SD Cards
- External Hard Drives
- Headphones
- Power Banks
- Travel cases
- Phones with 4k Cameras
Participants in Lights, Camera, Comrades programming will also have an option to have their content amplified on our partner platforms including POLISH Media, The Left Current, and more! If you are interested in being a media partner please let us know!
